Strap on your lasers in this sequel to 2008’s Robokill as you’re forced to make an emergency landing aboard a suspiciously silent space station. Shoot down waves of enemies, buy upgrades, and above all else, stay alive as you delve deeper into the mystery. If Holmes had death robots at his disposal, he totally would have used them instead of Watson. Improbable Island is a browser-based multiplayer RPG, consisting almost entirely of text. Almost all of it quite funny. It’s jam-packed with references to everything from “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy: to “Sesame Street” to its own insanity. Even if you don’t find it outright funny, you will still get a smile from the sheer craziness of it all. This is Improbable Island, where running into forgotten food from your refrigerator is a fairly mundane battle. Tagged as: browser, game, javascript, macwinlinux, rating-r, rpg, text
Awem Studio is hard at work creating Cradle of Rome 2, the sequel to the puzzle game Cradle of Rome, and gave us a sneak peek at some of the new features they’re planning for the game, as well as Rome’s new look.
Adventure mode remains the game’s main mode, offering more than 100 levels of match-3 gameplay and the opportunity to build the City of Rome by unlocking and constructing new buildings. The sequel introduces mini-games in the form of blueprints that must be assembled before new buildings can be purchased.
Great Adventures: Lost in Mountains has launched. Download this time management/sim game, write a review, or chat about it in our forum.
Match-three puzzlers aren’t exactly in short supply on the App Store, so it takes a unique approach — or at least some polished aesthetics — to make an impact in the crowded marketplace. Orba, a recent screen-clearing entry from Kieffer Bros, does a little of both, offering a simple experience that is ideally suited for the iPhone and wrapped up in a nice visual package.
